"Working as a biomed through the growth of the internet, I knew that the concept of MedWrench was always a possibility.  It just took 20 years to get there.  The BiomedTalk listserv was great, as a first attempt to meet the needs of the biomed community.    Listserves are very useful, but they require that the subscribers perform frequent housekeeping to their inboxes.  Other sites did exist, but they were very generic and somewhat cumbersome.  I was introduced to MedWrench in its infancy through Myron Hartman, my co-worker in Penn State’s Biomedical Engineering Technology Program.  Myron described this new website designed for the biomed.  MedWrench is not just another website...it’s not just a database…it IS the biomedical community.  It’s the natural progression of this very challenging technical field.  As a technician, I would look to MedWrench for technical solutions before opening a service manual.  Often, real solutions to common failures are not included in manuals.
 
MedWrench is a valuable resource to those smaller regional biomedical departments and ISO’s that may not possess the level of support of larger metropolitan departments.  To the non-biomed (the manager, nurse or other healthcare professional), it’s a great resource for product information.  I logon daily in order to look for opportunities to contribute and offer feedback.  MedWrench is an extremely powerful tool that meets the (bio)medical community right where it needs to be and it’s a site for which I have been waiting for 20 years.  Great work MDPublishing Team!"-Ted Lucidi, CBET, MEDRAD Technical and Clinical Support Specialist

I recently had a broken probe for a piece of test equipment, that was no longer available from the manufacturer. First off i would like to thank Medwrench and the Staff behind it who make medwrench possible. Without it I would have never gotten the help needed to repair some important equipment. equipment that to some may seem old and out of date but to us here in Honduras Central America, a third world country lacking the means to have good hospitals. I work for a Goverment run facility that provides healthcare for needy people and all our equipment has been donated to us from diffrent areas across the world and the majority of these equipment have arrived not functioning and that is where medwrench has been just that, a med "wrench", i recieved help and tips on repairing a ultrasound, c arm, and other equipments that were much needed.
