PartsSource Appoints Dr. James Weinstein as a Member of its Board of Directors

Cleveland, Ohio – September 18, 2017 - PartsSource, the leading provider of medical products and technology solutions, announced the appointment of a new member of its Board, Dr. James Weinstein.

Dr. Weinstein is the former CEO and president of Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system. Prior to becoming CEO in 2011, Dr. Weinstein is an internationally renowned orthopedic surgeon. He served as President of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic and Director of The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI).

Dr. Weinstein was the inaugural Executive Director and a founding member, along with Mayo Clinic, Intermountain Healthcare, The Dartmouth Institute, and Denver Health, of the national High Value Healthcare Collaborative (HVHC), a partnership of more than a dozen health systems that have taken on the challenge of improving the quality of care while lowering costs. He holds the Peggy Y. Thomson Chair in the Evaluative Clinical Sciences at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine and serves on the organization's Board for Population Health and Public Health Practice. Throughout his career, Dr. Weinstein has received more than $70 million in federal funding and published more than 325 peer-reviewed articles.  

More recently, he is helping to lead the formation of the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) that will use 3D technology to print human organs and is a member of the Board of Directors of ARMI/BioFab. He was also elected to the Boards of Trustees for the internationally renowned Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and the Intermountain Health System.
