Equipment Refresh Strategy

Below are some recommendations of how to put together an evaluation of equipment needs.

• Your CMMS data needs to be accurate.  The purchase date is critical to give a good recommendation.
• Factors to consider:

1. Equipment End of Life
2. % of Expected Life Cycle (Based on ECRI)
3. Utilization
4. Criticality
5. Equipment condition

Remember to weigh each factor as some are more critical than others.  Below is my scale.
