1. How long have you been a member of MedWrench?

Approximately 11 years


2. Where are you currently employed? What is your position there? 

Fluke Biomedical. Global Training Manager

3. What aspect of MedWrench do you utilize the most?

Forums


4. What equipment is currently on your bench?                                                                            

All Fluke Biomedical test instruments.                                                                    

5. What do you like most about MedWrench?

The community sharing of information, tips, and information                        

6. What type of equipment do you work on the most?

Patient monitors, defibrillator/pacers, infusion devices, and ESU generators

7. What/how do you stay informed in your career? Do you attend continue education courses or industry events?

I receive notifications about new technologies, new medical devices, HTM issues and needs, management best practices, and quality assurance/audit trail and regulatory matters via email and news feeds. I attend annual conferences and trade shows, and participate in sessions to keep current.


8. In your current position do you purchase parts or equipment? What is your role in the process?

No. I make requests for medical devices and demo units of Fluke Biomedical and RaySafe test instruments for use in creating and delivering training.


9. What are your hobbies?

I love to cook for others, I write poetry and song lyrics. I love to travel and experience food, history and cultures outside of my own USA-centered habit.


10. What is one word that describes you the best?                                  

Teacher/Mentor


11. What advice do you have to anyone just graduating and entering into the HTM field?

Keep learning everyday in everything you do. See yourself as a professional, not a blue-collar worker, therefore conduct yourself in a professional manner. You are part of reducing risk to patients, and keeping medical devices available and safe and effective for clinical use.


12. What else should we know about you?

In my US Navy days I was a ship-board and aviation sonar operator, and I was a search and rescue swimmer. I am an entrepreneur at heart.
