2.) Where are you currently employed? What is your position there?
Intermountain Healthcare, Clinical Engineering Supervisor
3.) What aspect of MedWrench do you utilize the most?
Service manuals and Tech Support Blog
4.) What equipment is currently on your bench?
No equipment, there is a PM plan of action, a telehealth device manual and a birthday card for one of my engineers.
5. ) What do you like most about MedWrench?
The diversity with the responses to troubleshooting. There is a lot of experience listed in the responses.
6.) What type of equipment do you work on the most?
Anything related to patient care, Philips mostly.
7.) What/how do you stay informed in your career? Do you attend continue education courses or industry events?
I am an active AAMI,HIMSS and CABMET member, I find that these organizations have regular topics that aid in continuing education that is Biomed field and Management related.
8.) In your current position do you purchase parts or equipment? What is your role in the process?
I do purchase many parts and I have been a SME on several medical equipment standardization committees.
9.) What are your hobbies?
Restoring antique vehicles, woodworking and home improvements.
10.) What is one word that describes you the best?
Versatile
11. ) What advice do you have to anyone just graduating and entering into the HTM field?
Be motivated. Take advantage of any education that is offered, learn as much as you can from the experienced engineers and welcome all challenges. Or you may find yourself burned out working on that same high volume device day after day for years.
12. ) What else should we know about you?
I try to find opportunity in every situation.
