Principles of Servicing Diagnostic X-Ray Systems, by RSTI, is a skills development program that teaches thenew service professional the cognitive skills necessary to understand the X-ray system and its applications in the medical community. 

Theprogram is divided into six major learning units: 

  1. Introduction to radiography
  2. Radiation safety
  3. The production of X-rays
  4. Formation of the X-ray image
  5. Image receptor technologies
  6. PACS troubleshooting basics

The course contains lecture, demonstration, andhands-on training, which teach participantsproper operation, radiation safety, image qualityassessment, and global understanding of the Xraysystem.Upon completion of the course, the student willbe able to perform first level service on theradiographic system.
