Introduction

Advanced Radiographic System Maintenance, by RSTI, is a hands-on coursedesigned for those charged with theduties of repairing radiologicalequipment but having limitedknowledge of the radiographicsystems. Through attendance in thiscourse, the service professional willbecome self-confident in working onvarious types of radiographic systems.Upon completion of the course, theservice professional will be able toidentify and repair malfunctions of aradiographic system as well asperform preventive maintenance andcompliance tests on the system.

Prerequisites

To attend this course, the serviceprofessional must have goodfundamental knowledge ofradiological physics and procedures astaught in our Principles of ServicingDiagnostic X-Ray Systems (Phase I)course.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Determine if the X-ray generator system meets the manufacturer’s specifications

• Use proper test procedures to ensure optimum performance

• Isolate malfunctions to circuit level

• Perform complete preventive maintenance and system performance checks

• Perform complete CDRHcompliance tests on the system
