
Career Institute of Technology renamed the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology
San Antonio, TX Following re-accreditation by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) and approval by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), the Career Institute of Technology has been renamed the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology, a 100% Veteran Owned and Operated Online College.

“The decision to change the name of the college was driven by our efforts to better align with our mission and purpose,” said school director Richard Gonzales. “the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology’s mission is to provide Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) education, training, and career services consistent with the evolving needs of employers in the healthcare industry.”
Frauke SteinmeierThe college is also announcing the addition of two remarkable instructors. Frauke Steinmeier, M.A. Education, is joining the college with more than 10 years of teaching experience at the University of Luxemburg, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and in public
Brent Ishameducation. She is also a Department of State Fulbright Scholar and a Department of Homeland Security SFS Scholar with an emphasis on cybersecurity. Frauke joins College of Biomedical Equipment Technology from Northeast Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas, where she served as a foreign language teacher and activities director.
We are also excited to announce the addition of Brent Isham as our lead Math and Electronics Instructor. Brent possesses more than 15 years’ experience in education and brings an unsurpassed passion for education and the Healthcare Technology Management industry. Brent earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Engineering from ITT Technical Institute.
