Certificate: Biomedical Equipment Technician

The BMET certificate program is 25-week accredited online program conforming to U.S. and international credentialing requirements for students seeking education, training, and job placement as biomedical equipment technicians. Certificate courses are transferable to the AAS degree program.

The BMET certificate program is an accredited online program. Our training system provides interactive instruction and one-on-one interaction through meetings via Zoom® Video Conferencing. Classes completed as part of the BMET Certificate course are transferable to the BMET AAS Degree Program.  The program is designed to meet U.S. and International industry credentialing standards.

The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology is pleased to offer the Biomedical Equipment Technician Certificate Program starting every six weeks throughout the year.

The 25 week program includes courses designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and experience demanded by U.S. and international employers.  The nationally accredited program was designed and is taught by scholar-practitioners to ensure students receive both the education and career services needed to succeed in the HTM career field, courses include:  

  • Medical Terminology and Anatomy
  • Networking Fundamentals and COMP TIA Network + Preparation
  • Electronics 
  • Biomedical Equipment
  • Biomedical Equipment Capstone and Certification Preparation
