The Healthcare Technology Management career field has been extremely rewarding. I love what I do and how I can help my technicians and fellow leaders succeed. The single most important aspect that helps me be successful and what I look for in a job candidate is being a good teammate. Below are some character attributes that make you a good teammate:
- Selflessness - The focus is on the success of the whole and not on yourself.
- Confidence - You need to have confidence in your co-workers, leaders, and yourself.
- Ownership - When given a task, see it through to completion.
- Competitiveness - Friendly competition among your co-workers helps push everyone to be more successful.
- Positive attitude - Your attitude is contagious.
- Humility - You can be confident and humble. Never be afraid to ask or give help.
- Fun - Professional always. Clean, appropriate fun when you can!
Work will always be work. If you are part of a strong team that achieves together and plays together, then you will not dread getting up in the morning to go to work. Nearly half of your awake, adult life is spent working. Be engaged and make it rewarding and fun!
