Theresa Gross secretly runs the whole shop at Christiana Care! As the "Master" Clinical Engineering Service Coordinator, Theresa loves working at a place where she really fits in and makes a difference. She has worked in the management field for a long time and enjoyed the different responsibilities that came with the job. Since Theresa is not a Biomedical Technician, her main responsibilities are to coordinate and dispatch the service calls and work orders. She does work on minor repairs; replace cables and/or batteries for thermometers, regulators, bed alarms, etc. Some other responsibilities including collecting the return authorizations for equipment that needs to be sent, packaged and labeled. She is very active in the purchasing processing and enjoys being able to attend MD Expo to help her find the right vendor for the right parts.

Theresa first heard about MedWrench a year ago. FDA was at Christiana Care and challenged her team with a PM schedule question. They needed to find the manufacturer's instructions for the Ranger Blood Warmers. Fortunately, MedWrench had the catalog on site and saved the day! Since then, Theresa enjoys having easy access to the documents and catalogs, reading the other information available for the industry, but of course, her favorite part is Ben C.!

We asked Theresa what advice she would give to anyone just graduating or entering the HTM field and she shared, "Find a mentor and soak up all the knowledge they have to share. You never know when a random or obscure piece of information will come in handy."

Outside of work, Theresa enjoys DIY projects around the house, like reusing pallets to create new pieces of furniture. She also loves the quiet beach and spending time with her family, especially her grandson!

Thank you, Theresa, for your dedication to the HTM field! We appreciate your input and wisdom in our community.
