Siemens YSIO System Course

This 5-day training course covers servicing the newer, high-end digital Ysio and Ysio Max system platforms. It focuses on the major system components and the flat detector panel technology.

Course Description:

Technical Prospects’ Ysio/Ysio Max Training Course is an 5-day (Monday – Friday) knowledge and skills development course designed for field service and support personnel. During this course, students engage in discussions, lectures and labs centered on the core principles of operation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair for all primary system components.

Prerequisites:

It is highly recommended that interested students have the following Knowledge/Experience;

  • Completion of a Radiation Safety Training
  • 2 or more years of industry/military experience working with X-ray equipment

OR

  • attendance of an OEM or Technical Prospects’ Introduction to X-ray or X-ray Basics course (Certificates may be requested)

Students are required to provide the listed equipment;

  • Service Laptop (Laptop computer running Microsoft Windows 95/98/XP) & Excel (Open office and programs like this are not acceptable)
  • Null modem cable (DB9F to DB9F)
  • Personal dosimeter

Outcome:

Upon completion of this training course, students will;

  • Understand terms & symbols used by Siemens
  • Identify, configure, troubleshoot and diagnose components of the Ysio & Ysio Max systems;
    • Table and overhead tube cranes, associated components (tube, collimator, etc.)
    • Polydoros generators (F80, R80, F55)
    • Siemens FD detector
    • The RADIS imaging station and software interface
  • Understand the relationships and interactions of all system components
  • Perform configuration and adjustments via service software
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose generator, table, and tube components based upon error code
