Interlight Launches Lumen Points, a Free Rewards Program for the Teams That Keep Equipment Running
Thu Jul 30 2026
Replacement lamps, batteries, and parts are a permanent line item for any biomedical or healthcare technology department. Endoscopy light sources, surgical headlamps, microscope illuminators, patient monitors, and imaging systems all consume consumables on a predictable cycle — and someone on the team is reordering them month after month.
Interlight has launched Lumen Points, a free rewards program built around that reality. The idea is straightforward: the parts are getting purchased anyway, so the purchasing itself should return something.
How it works
Lumen Points is free to join and takes about 30 seconds to enroll — name and email, no fees and no annual commitment. Once enrolled, points accrue automatically at checkout on every qualifying order. There are no promo codes to hunt down and no campaign windows to catch.
The conversion is deliberately simple: 100 points equals $1, with no fluctuating redemption rates or blackout math. Members can apply points as dollars off at checkout — sign in at the start of checkout, then use the rewards slider at the payment step to choose how many points to redeem — or cash them out for digital gift cards.
The gift card option is the program's newest addition. Members can redeem points across 40+ brands including Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, Starbucks, and Nike, delivered digitally by email or text within 24 hours of redemption. Gift card redemptions start at $25 (2,500 points). Discounts at checkout have no minimum at all.
Points do not expire. Members earn now and redeem whenever it makes sense.
Built for business buyers
Rewards programs are common in consumer retail and rare in specialty industrial supply, partly because most B2B purchasing runs through procurement rather than an individual. Lumen Points is designed to work in that environment: points accrue to the account placing the orders, and the checkout discount option applies the value directly against the organization's invoice.
Interlight notes that buyers purchasing on behalf of an employer should review their organization's gift and procurement policy before redeeming points for a personal gift card. Many teams simply route the value back into the next order as a discount, which keeps the benefit with the department.
Why now
Interlight has spent decades supplying mission-critical bulbs, batteries, and replacement parts to the medical, aerospace, military, education, and commercial sectors, carrying one of the largest SKU inventories in the United States with same-day shipping on 99% of orders and a significant catalog of delisted and hard-to-find items.
Availability and turnaround remain the priority for HTM teams — an unavailable lamp means a room out of service. Lumen Points does not change that equation, but it does add a return on spend that most specialty suppliers do not offer, on parts departments are already purchasing on a fixed cycle.
Getting started
Enrollment is open now and free. Members can check their balance, find their referral link, and track rewards through the Rewards widget available on any page of the Interlight site.
