Philips marks 100 shipments of its Ingenia MRI system, focusing on image clarity, productivity and patient care

Andover, Mass. – Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) today announced it has achieved 100 shipments of its Ingenia magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, the first-ever digital broadband MRI solution. An illustration of Philips Imaging 2.0 concept, the Ingenia is helping to usher in a new era in radiology science driven by the development of innovative patient care solutions that deliver exceptional image quality, scanning efficiency and scalability designed to advance diagnosis and radiology workflow.

Commercially shipping only since July 2011, the 100th shipment of the Ingenia is proof that hospitals are rapidly embracing the technology, a solution driven by key workflow, technical and user experience benefits to both patients and clinicians:
