BAXTER’S SIGMA SPECTRUM INFUSION SYSTEM RECEIVES BEST IN KLAS AWARD FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR
Baxter International Inc. announced its SIGMA Spectrum Infusion System has received the "Best in KLAS" award for the second consecutive time at the 2012 Best in KLAS Awards: Medical Equipment & Infrastructure report.

DEERFIELD, Ill. (June 26, 2012) — Baxter International Inc. (NYSE: BAX) today announced its SIGMA Spectrum Infusion System has received the "Best in KLAS" award for the second consecutive time in the Smart Pumps – Large Volume Pump[1] category of the 2012 Best in KLAS Awards: Medical Equipment & Infrastructure report. This "Best in KLAS" award represents the opinions of healthcare clinicians who use smart infusion systems and hospital executives and managers who make purchasing decisions in U.S. hospitals. Receiving the "Best in KLAS" award indicates a high level of customer satisfaction with the SIGMA Spectrum Infusion System and its support services.

The SIGMA Spectrum Infusion System scored the highest overall performance rating (82.9%) for large volume pumps (LVPs), which adds to its growing recognition as a leading smart infusion system in the market. Four of the top six hospitals designated as 2011 "Honor Roll Hospitals" by U.S. News and World Report[2] use this infusion system.
