Heart-Lung Bypass Unit
The Bio-Console Speed Controller System continues to provide significant advantages for the patient, the surgeon and the perfusionist as newer bypass technologies evolve and your circuits continue to become smaller and more compact. The Bio-Console 560 Extracorporeal Blood Pumping Console is used to pump and return blood to a person during cardiopulmonary bypass, a procedure that temporarily takes over the function of the heart and lungs during surgery. The cardiopulmonary bypass procedure provides both circulatory and breathing support to a person whose heart and lungs are too weak to pump enough blood to the rest of the body.

- Smooth vortex cone design provides superior micro air retention when compared to impeller centrifugal pump designs.
- 3 In-house testing indicates a 10 times greater air retention at 6 L/min.
- 1 Effective air retention means less air passes through the pump outlet and downstream toward the patient.
- Flow ceases with draining of venous reservoir preventing passage of gross air due to pre-load sensitivity.
- Pressure sensitivity reduces the risk of tubing circuit disruption.
