Replaced VS100 battery.  Green LED blinks ...however battery always show empty.  Unplugs charger and display shows battery depleted in a couple of minutes.  Any ideas?

Does anyone have a battery source for these devices?  Baxter (formerly Hill-Rom, formerly Welch Allyn) requires them to be sent in for about $400 a piece with a 4 week turnaround.
