DESCRIPTION

The QRS SpiroCard Spirometer turns an off-the-shelf computer into a full-function spirometer.

The QRS SpiroCard Spirometer exceeds the ATS Guidelines, out-performs competition and eliminates the need for routine calibration. The QRS SpiroCard spirometer comes equipped with everything you need to begin testing.

How Does this Device Measure Air Flow Rate
I am a student at the University of Dundee, and I am currently working on a project involving the technologies used in Spirometry and was wondering what technology does the Spirocard use to measure the air flow rate. Does it use a turbine in tandem to LEDs and light sensors, or does it use a mesh grid pneumatograph, or a tube with different end radii?Reply

FEATURES

  • Standards: The QRS SpiroCard spirometer provides effective diagnostic tests and meets the following Standards:
    • American Thoracic Society (ATS/ERS) 2005 Standard
    • British Thoracic Society (BTS) Standard
    • National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence (NICE) Guidelines
  • Lung Age Calculation: Lung age is calculated for patients ages 20-84. It is equal to the predicted FEV1 that matches the patients actual FEV1. Lung age may differ based on the predicted equation chosen.
  • Patented, Pre-Calibrated Mouthpiece: With the QRS SpiroCard spirometry system, everything the patient touches is thrown away. No sterilization or calibration is necessary, saving time for nurses, therapist and physicians.
  • No Batteries Required: The QRS SpiroCard spirometer draws its power from the PC it is connected to via USB port.
