It can reach speeds up to 26,000 RPM and maintains an operator-set internal temperature between -10 to 40 degrees Celsius. If the temperature exceeds the programmed parameters, the Avanti J-20 XP automatically shuts off, preserving rotor life and sample integrity. All settings (speed, time, rotor identification) are shown clearly on the digital display or through the positioning of analog knobs next to the screen. 

Other features include a friction reduction system (FRS) comprised of a vacuum pump that reduces the pressure inside the stainless steel rotor chamber to 190 mmHg, eliminating air friction for efficient operation. Also, it contains an on-board timer to program continuous or limited use up to 180 minutes.
