DESCRIPTION
Pulse Oximeter
In comparison to the 512, the 513 is a lightweight, easy to use, handheld pulse oximeter great for the Veterinary market. The 513 provides reliable continuous measurement and display of the oxygen saturation of arterial blood (SpO2) and pulse rate. In addition, it utilizes Novametrix' patented "digital" technology providing the same improved performance in conditions of motion artifact or low perfusion as found in their full featured pulse oximeters. Features an easy to read LED display with a pulse activity bar to verify signal quality and aid in sensor placement. Includes a Y-site probe. Operates from 2 AA batteries and weighs less than 6 ounces. The difference between the two models is that the 513 carries alarms for different thresholds, along with the ability to show trends and send reports to a printer.. The 513 provides an infrared output allowing trend information to be sent to a printer or downloaded into the NovaCard for Windows Computer Archive Recall and Display software for review and analysis (software and related data accessories sold separately).
FEATURES
- The Respironics/Novametrix Models 512 and 513 handheld pulse oximeters incorporate “digital” signal processing.
- This advanced technology is able to process pulsatile signals at much higher resolutions and speeds of 100 times per second.
- This processing technique results in improved pulse oximeter performance during motion or low perfusion, where traditional handheld monitors fail.
- Designed for easy portability
- Versatile for all monitoring situations
- Operates from 2 alkaline batteries or an optional DC supply
- Equipped with a "Y" sensor that is designed for durability
- The 513 provides an infrared output allowing trend information to be sent to a printer or downloaded
- Alerts: Automatic and adjustable SpO2 and pulse rate limits
- Pulse Beep: User selectable on/off
- Communications: 513 - Infrared link allows downloading of up to 24 hours of patient data to a computer or printer
