DESCRIPTION

The Dynatech Nevada 454A Electrosurgical Analyzer is an instrument that analyzes the performance of an Electro-Surgical Unit (ESU). The 454A has been designed to test ESUs in use by physician in their office or at the hospital. The purpose of this instrument is to measure and report specific ESU safety and performance parameters. The Dynatech Nevada 454A is specifically intended to measure output parameters of an ESU. It is a microprocessor based instrument utilizing a precision thermal converter to make true RMS current measurements. In addition, the 454A has peak detection circuitry. This circuitry provides a method to determine peak to peak voltage and crest factors in electrosurgical instruments.
