Leica Microsystems - RM2255
DESCRIPTION
Microtome
Reduce repetitive motions that can contribute to musculoskeletal disorders with the powerful, fully automated Leica RM2255 rotary microtome. Designed for fully motorized sectioning of both paraffin- and resin-embedded specimens, the Leica RM2255 supports a broad spectrum of applications; in routine and research laboratories; in histology; in industrial materials and quality control. Its two-in-one design concept, which allows motorized and manual sectioning, provides reproducible high-quality sections.

5Replies5 months ago | Course feed foward and backward, fast and slow not working I have a Leica RM2255 that has a problem. The course feed forward and backward, on both fast and slow there is no movement. I can hear ticking sound but there isn't any movement. Is there a coupling inside between motor and lead screw that may be loose or failing. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks |
4Replies10 months ago | Leg Spring for RM2255 Hello, I'm having a hec of a time trying to find a torsion spring/leg spring for the hand wheel lock, Part# 0502 38987 per the Leica manual. I've tried to modify some springs that I had in hand using pliers and clamps and that didn't go well at all. I've reached out to Leica and "crickets". Any insight in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Reply |
2Repliesa year ago | RM2255 - Microtome won't run on automode Hello, I am having issues where auto mode is not working...I have checked the PCB and noticed that R63 is damaged/cracked in the middle. Will that be the source of the problem? I have checked the test points as well in TP2 and everything seems to be working. Any help will be appreciated! Thank you in advance!Reply |

FEATURES
- Consistent sectioning speed: Consistent sectioning speed and force of the fully-automated cutting motor supports consistent, high-quality sectioning and helps to reduce musculoskeletal disorders caused by repetitive motion.
- Precision orientation system: The optional 8° X/Y precision orientation system with calibrated controls helps to quickly orient already cut specimens (re-cuts). The system then rapidly returns the exact zero position, which is marked by two red indicators.
- Large 70mm vertical stroke: The large 70mm vertical stroke allows sectioning of super mega cassettes and also supports safer specimen changing due to the greater distance to the knife edge.
- Unencumbered work area
- Fewer clamping levers provide an unencumbered work area.
