Hyperthermia Pump
The Hyperthermia Pump™ is used in therapeutic procedures to raise the temperature of the thoracic or peritoneal cavity to the desired target temperature by continuously lavaging the cavity with warmed sterile solution. The warm sterile solution is pumped into a body cavity, withdrawn, reheated, and recirculated back to the body for a period of time specified by the physician. The system monitors sterile solution temperature, line pressure, and air in the fluid path to ensure safe operation and alarms at all unsafe conditions. Four sterile temperature probes, located within the sterile field by a physician, monitor patient cavity temperature.
0RepliesTue Jun 23 2015 | external screen Hello, we perform many HIPEC procedures at Karolinska University Hospital and we currently use the Belmont pump. However, the display is to little to let the surgerons get direct feedback on intraperitoneal temperatures. Do you have any new models with modern displays or at least the possibility to connect an external monitor? Best regards Håkan Björne Reply |

Belmont Instrument recently introduced a new 4.4L Large Volume Reservoir that will be part of the Straight and Bifurcated Hyperthermia Set disposable packages. In addition to the larger fluid capacity, the reservoir now has all of the labeling for the ports already printed on the top of the reservoir; the vacuum relief valve is now pre-installed; the reservoir filter pore size is now 250 microns; and a medication port has been added to the top of the reservoir. These improvements will make the set easier to install and use, and truly provide added value to the user. The Belmont® Hyperthermia Pump and disposable sets continue to provide advanced technology at a reasonable price The Belmont® Hyperthermia Pump is a highly efficient, compact and easy-to-use system for the rapid circulation of warmed fluid used for hyperthermic lavage. The pump combines advanced microprocessor technology with an efficient mechanical system to provide a high speed, simple and safe system for the delivery of hyperthermic therapy. Belmont Instrument Corporation has developed sophisticated and reliable devices in fluid management and cardiac assist since its founding in 1980. The Belmont® Rapid Infuser is used to save lives in more than forty thousand procedures per year in hospitals throughout the world.
