DESCRIPTION

PICO COMPACT consist of 2 units: Central Unit and Patient Unit connected by a fiber-optic cable, 5 m long. If required the 2 unit can be assembled in one single trolley so that system is very compact.          THE CENTRAL UNIT is based on a trolley (with 5 pivoting antistatic wheels of which with brakes) housing the personal computer, monitor and printer as well as the power supply with insulation transformer of medical grade.     The power supply has 6 socket to which all the electronic componets are plugged so to ensure the highest of safety for the operators and patients.          THE PATIENT UNIT is provided with a pole on which all the peripherals and accessories are monted like the peristaltic pump, catheter withdrawer (puller), pressure transducers, volume transducer and acquisition box.          The pressure channels are compatible both with external transducer for water pefused catheters and solid-state catheters like those manufactured by Unisensor, Gaeltec, Millar and others. The easy accessibility to the channels allows the operator to change the kind of transduces according to the need of the study. The new uroflowmeter is connected to the acquisition board by means of a cable 9m long, so that it can be put in a private place to make the patient more comfortable.          PICO COMPACT is supplied with a remote control in order to run at distance all the peripherals and the main function of the software package Pico 3000. If you own a Personal Computer with minimal requirements, you only need to buy the Patient Unit and the software package in order to get yoururodynamic system.
