DESCRIPTION

This is a digital slit-lamp microscope used in ophthalmic applications involving eye examination. It can connect to an optional digital camera for high resolution still image capture. The quality of illumination of this slit lamp microscope is considerably better than the other versions.       This is the only one capable of connecting an optional SLR camera for taking digital photography as the other units do not provide enough bright light. It comes with a c-mount adapter suitable for EF mount or F mount for the optional digital camera. The digital camera is not included, but we recommend the use of the Canon 450D which is an SLR version with high resolution and excellent imaging. Other SLR cameras may also be used. We do not sell the digital cameras as they can easily be found in photography stores. The joystick has a button for shutter release making is simple to take photos. It has a background illumination system allowing for better quality still images and without any glare. It also comes with a beam splitter. The ccd camera is optional and can be used for taking the video image to a CCTV monitor for all in the room to see, or for the eye examination to be videotaped.       It has an optional R and T style applanation tonometer as well as an optional measuring ocular eyepiece. A useful option is an extra monocular teaching tube, allowing a third observer/assistant to view the ophthalmic eye examination simultaneously. Other options include a trihedron lens, anterior chamber angle lens (single side lens or four side lens used for glaucoma checking in clinics), eyeground contact lens, and aspheric surface lens.       The magnification is selectable between 6x/10x/16x/25x/40x. The included eyepiece pair is 12.5x. The lens of this slitlamp microscope is made from high quality imported German glass for reduction in lens aberration. All optics are multi-coated and include mildew-proof and antireflection coatings. This slitlamp microscope is made in a US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) registered manufacturing facility as well as has CE certification.
