Double Field Image

Does anyone have a service manual for BX40?

I’ve got a double, overlapped field when viewing through both oculars.

Image clear when viewed through single ocular but image shifts toward 13:00 when viewed individually from one ocular to the next.

If you have service manual and/or solutions please email me at James@TurnerMedicalRepair.com

TY!

Olympus BX Microscope Printed Ciruit Boards

We are a microscope dealer (sales and service) of 35 years and are experiencing some issues with Olympus boards on many of their BX (infinity) microscopes that are as new as 5 years. It appears Olympus no longer supports their printed circuit boards after that making it difficult to keep these 'not-so-old' microscopes in service for our customers.

We have a solution for this problem in the form of LED replacement illuminators and are open to hear of any other options too. In this era of financial austerity, being able to keep laboratory instruments like microscopes in peak running condition is well advised for any service company.

Just wondering how others are dealing with this issue and would like to share with the rest of us.

Thank you,

Tom

Problems with Olympus BX series and BH series Microscope boards?

It appears that several microscope mfgr's discontinue support for their newest Microscopes after about six years. Does anyone have a problem with that? Many relatively new Microscopes are sent to surplus inventory because the printed circuit boards are no longer available. How do most lab managers and clinical engineers handle this? It seems like such a waste.
