1ReplyThu Mar 05 2015 | Quality Coordinator Radiology We are going live with PS360 in a month and wondered if anybody can give me an idea of what kind of reduction in transcription staffing we will see in 30,60 and 90 days or if you could share what percentage of your weekly work is edited by an editor and what percentage of work do the radiologists self edit?

2RepliesFri Mar 28 2014 | Powerscribe 360 isuues Hi, We just recently upgraded to PW 360. All of the sudden, the program freezes intermittently, sometimes every 3-5min for 5-15 sec. Signing reports also now takes 10-15 sec. None of this was an issue with the prior version. PW techs came to our site and said this is the workstation issue, not PW. However, the workstations are the same as before. I met other users with the same issues. Wonder how many people are affected and if there is any solution. Thanks Mike Reply |
0RepliesTue Jan 14 2014 | Powerscribe 360 Dictaphone issue Hi, I am a radiologist and my hospital just switched to PS 360. I am using this product also from home to take call. After the switch, I found out that my Dictaphone (Power Mic I, the white device, not the black second edition) is no longer recongnized by the program. I can still dictate but have to use on-screen buttons for control. Mic bottons do not work, and on the right bottom of the PS screen the status is "disconnected" instead of showing the Power-Mic. I ran the Mic wizard, and it shows that all of the nicrophone bottons are working fine. No issues at all with prior version of PS pior to 360 upgrade. Is this a known issue and support for the Power Mic I is gone? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks so much. Sincerely, Sophie Reply |

Reporting PowerScribe 360:
Reporting offers four primary dictation styles to accommodate individual physician dictation preferences. Radiologists can switch between dictation styles on a report-by-report basis if desired and options include:
- Speech Recognition with Delegated Editing: A combination of front-end speech recognition with transcription/correction workflow. Radiologists do not edit their own reports; instead, their speech-recognized draft report is forwarded to a transcriptionist/editor for correction and formatting. Transcription time and costs are reduced as reports no longer have to be keyboarded from start to finish. Recorded dictations and recognized text are linked for "edit while listening" for greater accuracy and transcription/editor efficiency.
- Real-time Speech Recognition with Self-Editing for Nearly Instant Turnaround Time: Real-time speech recognition allows radiologists to view text as it is dictated. They can edit using speech recognition, keyboard, mouse, or a combination – voice commands and microphone controls are used to correct and navigate the document. The reporting application immediately recognizes spoken changes and additions anywhere in the report.
- Real-time Speech Recognition with Auto-Loading Macros: Macros can be mapped to procedure codes and can be triggered by patient age and gender modifiers. Users can voice navigate standard text blocks, numeric fields and pick lists – all of which are fully voice editable.
- Real-time Speech Recognition with Auto-Structured Reporting: Auto-structured reporting eliminates the need for the radiologist to follow the structured format of a macro, while Natural Language Understanding (NLU) automatically structures report content. Once complete, the application presents the interpreting radiologist with a final report for review and edit. This intelligent phrase recognition and automatic organization tool can greatly reduce the time spent using conventional structured macros.
