Rechargeable Li-ion battery for an Unfors Solo Dent

I have an Unfors Solo Dent  (B22 1010-A) unit.

 

I need to change the rechargeable battery. The service manual specifies a 7.4V rechargeable battery but the unit appears to have connectors typical of a 9V battery.

Could I use a li-ion rechargeable 9V battery without damaging the unit, please?

What would the minimum mAh you would recommend?
