DESCRIPTION

The BioAquarius has all of the normal functions of a fully symmetrical double beam UV/Visible spectrophotometer. Functions include self test and calibration, calibration curves, multi wavelength measurements, nucleic acid and protein assays, cell and wavelength programmes, kinetics and theoretical thermal melting points. BioAquarius UV/Visible Spectrophotometer is specially pre-programmed for bioanalysis and molecular biology. The BioAquarius UV/Visible Double Beam Scanning Spectrophotometer operates throughout the wavelength range of 190-1,100nm.  With a symmetrical double beam optical system, an optical bandwidth of just 1.8nm, stray light of less than 0.01% and wavelength selection to 0.1nm outstanding accuracy is achieved. The CE 7250 is specially progammed for Protein Analysis including Bradford, Lowry, Biuret, BCA and Direct UV methods. Nucleic Acid assays may be determined by Warburg and Christian, Kalb and Bernlohr or user selected parameters. DNA, ssDNA, dsDNA, RNA and oligonucleotides may be quantified and examined for purity using one, two or three wavelength ratio methods. Scan software enables wavelength scans to be performed at speeds ranging form 1 to 4000nm/min and plotted directly to an external printer or transferred to PC. All spectra are fully annotated for wavelength and absorbance value with fully documented reports produced automatically.
