DESCRIPTION
Hand-Held Doppler For Obstetric and Vascular Versatility

The Pocket-Dop II is a valuable aid in detecting pregnancy and monitoring the fetal heartbeat. The built-in speaker amplifies fetal sounds to reassure the expectant mother. A complete obstetric system should include a 3 MHz probe for early fetal heartbeat detection and a 2 MHz probe for use in later pregnancy or with larger patients. A 2 MHz waterproof probe is ideal for underwater labor or delivery.

Online version of a User Manual for Pocket Dop II?
Is there an online version of the users manual for this device posted anywhere? Or, is there anyone who may be able to provide me with a electronic file of users manual or guide? I'm surprised that after having been on the market for what, 30 years?, there isn't some place to get user info.Reply

How to validate dopplar is working properly using 2Mhz or 3Mhz probes
I am trying to validate the operation of a pocket dop II unit which uses a 2Mhz and 3 Mhz probe interchangably in terms of normal pregnancy and obese pregnancies. My nurses complain all the time this unit is not sensing beats, but I check with gel and rubbing on it and seems fine to me. I was wondering what everyone else is doing to validate theirs. Do you guys use the US tester to see watts output or something? Phantom or something? Just asking opinions and experiences of other biomeds out there... StanReply
