The BodyGuard Pain Manager offers Bolus only (PCA), Continuous (Basal) plus Bolus or Continuous only infusion modes. BodyGuard is light, compact & robust ensuring it can be used in a wide variety of treatment settings such as hospital, homecare, transport or emergency medicine. This flexibility is further enhanced by the rechargeable, internal Li-Ion battery and a pole-mountable mains charger. The piston pump mechanism ensures unparalleled accuracy at even the lowest infusion rates to meet the standards of even the most demanding specialties. BodyGuard can be configured with up to 26 standard drug protocols which can be stored for later selection & use. During use the display shows the protocol selected and the name of the drug or regimen being infused. BodyGuard constitutes a major advance in infusion pump technology incorporating active and passive safety features which can be configured to fit local practice and protocols. These include security access codes, anti-bolus system, free-flow protection in all consumables, downloadable patient & event history, air in line detection and variable occlusion pressure settings.
