DESCRIPTION
The 3100A High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilator (HFOV)The 3100A High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilator (HFOV) from CareFusion is U.S. FDA-approved for intervening in treating respiratory failure in neonates. Using lung protective tools, you can apply continuous distending pressure and superimpose minimal pressure and volume swings to inflate the lung, and avoid neonatal respiratory failure. 0Replies3 years ago | Excessive Rain out Has anyone dealt with rain out in the circuit of a 3100A oscillating ventilator to the point that the condensation in the circuit pooled and puddled in the circuit? I have 2 ventilators that are having this problem. The pool of water is causing the mean pressure to fluctuate greatly. After the circuit is drained and the RT adjusts the settings, the pressure will stabilize, but the pool of water eventually returns and we do it all again. I do not recall seeing this much condensation in them before or that it builds up this quickly. I have previously seen on Drager Fabius GS when the providers started to use low flow anesthesia, there was not enough fresh gas flow through the breathing system and this caused excessive rain out in the breathing system. I'm not sure if something similar may apply here? Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks.Reply |
