Micro-thermal-rejuvenation system.Cynosure Affirm is a micro-thermal-rejuvenation system. It includes their patent pending mid-infrared Combined Apex Pulse™ (CAP) laser technology. The exclusive CAP technology stimulates collagen production throughout the entire treatment area. Through precise thermal manipulation of the epidermal and dermal tissue, it remodels collagen through the papillary dermis to promote collagen production and skin tightening. The Affirm laser also incorporates the Smart Cool system by Cynosure. This system utilizes a "double cooling" technique, which uses the body's natural cooling process in conjunction with a specifically engineered external cooling system. The Smart Cool system is used with the laser to minimize patient discomfort during treatment.
