The picture included shows the rotor just lifting off. I'm pulling, hard, this rotor is not lifting off. Is there something I'm missing? The thumbscrew it refers to is part of the cover you place over the microhematocrit tubes once you're going to run the centrifuge.
Has anyone experienced a situation where the Sysmex XN-550 passes all CBC quality control, but the reticulocyte QC gradually shifts upward over several days without any reagent alarms or calibration warnings? We have already replaced the reticulocyte reagent and repeated the QC with a new control vial, but the trend is still present. Which component or maintenance step would you check next before requesting service?

We've got an old eppendorf 5810R that was manufactured in 1998. It looks like it has a slightly cooked Finder 65.31 relay. I'm trying to find more information about the relay as it is a 110V AC relay. I can't find any other numbers on it.
The centrifuge powers on but when the compressor kicks on it trips the internal breaker on the centrifuge.
I'm thinking it's potentially a relay or capacitor problem. When I opened it I noticed the Finder type 61.31 relay. Thought this might be a good place to start.
Anyone have any ideas. Do these cook themselves eventually. I didn't see anything about it in the Eppendorf 5810R service manual.
