I am trying to retrieve data from a b850 patient monitor using the S/5 Computer Interface. For the connection, I am using a PL2303-based Glink USB RS232 converter -->Female Female Null Modem-->USB-RS232 converter-->Raspberry Pi. Initially, I receive a response when I send a message to retrieve data, but sometimes after 8 minutes, sometimes after 24 minutes, and sometimes after 2 hours, the data flow and response to requests stop. In this case, I cannot get a response again without removing the USB from the error monitor. Has anyone else encountered a similar situation? Why is this happening? I can see the USB serial converter device in the system, but the CTS pin on the RS232 converter in the error monitor is constantly at a low level.
I continue to get complaints about the 'blue button' not turning the display back on while patient is in transit. I know it has to be held for a few seconds until there is a beep, but sometime even that doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem? Any resolution other than removing the battery? Has anyone seen a message that says "Random Room is admitted but not full disclosed." Random Room was our Trauma 1. Staff tried to discharge and readmit but that didn't solve the issue.
I've got 2 units, after the gas agent calibration, it shows the current date as last cal date, but after power cycling it reverts to an older date. I've tried using the save mode, going thru the airway gas cal function as well, but it reverts back each time. I've checked the SRAM on both, replaced 1. But still no change. I've never seen this before.
Does anyone have an image of their system, mine simply does not start, it enters windows but the screen remains black and the spacelabs application does not start, if anyone has a copy of their operating system to see if by replacin files i can get to start. thank you
