My hospital is thinking of dropping full service contract on our 3 Varian linear accelerators and having one of imaging guys trained on them. Can you describe the work you perform, what's it like to work on them, how's your schedule when it comes to servicing them? and anything else I should know? None of us here are familiar with servicing them since they've been full service contract the whole time we had them, users called Varian themselves, so I would like to get some insight from some else's experience.

we have some problem on the pfn charghing systems. all pcb's were checked and are ok.is resistance of primary coil in the charging inductor about zero?
Great forum.. I'm hoping to get a few errors resolved on this radiotherapy machine.
When switching from 6MV to 10MV, I'm getting quite a few errors such as;
21 HI rate 1
22 HI Rate 2
45 Dose Rate 2 ( HW )
13 Dose Rate 1 ( SW )
58 Dose 1 Saturation
I'm also in need of a step by step guide for the peaking procedure. Any help is greatly appreciated.
