When pressing the F1 key to select "patient data" on the MAC 5500, there is this quick flash to scan the patient visit/ID number to add them to the ekg cart, then it switches to manual entry right away. Kept pressing that F1 button to use the scan function, but it will switch to manual entry.
What's causing the issue? Software upgrade? Internal board malfunctioning? Settings?
I've double checked the settings to another working ekg and all settings matched. Problem still there. Tried hard reboot of device. Nothing. Replaced the scanner and cable to a known working one. Same issue.
Can't get in contact with GE tech support. Anyone has had this problem?
We have a refurbished Mac5500 HD that previously used MUSE. We do not use MUSE and i would like to remove the "VISIT" prompt that appears prior to the screen prompt to enter the Patient's Data.
For the record the "Visit" setting in the patient questions section of the setup is already set to "no" and it is still prompting.
I've exported ECGs from the file manager to an SD card without MUSE, and I'm trying to view them on PC. Is there any way to visualise them, right now they're just XML code.
When we try to type in the patient fields little square boxes appear and beeping happens, it's like a key combination is being pressed but I don't know which, is there a way to figure that out or do I need to take this apart or send it off?
