Can you please help me find the proper protocols for storage in the rigid containers when being transported throughout the hospital.
Our scopes are cleaned down in the Sterile Processing Dept. and then transported back upstairs to the GI. dept. in clean rigid containers. They are then hung in our STERIS 6000 cabinets with proper ventilation. However, it is unclear how long they can remain in the rigid containers as the proper protocols for storage of scopes is a well ventilated area and those rigid containers are not.
