Microm - HM520/HM525
Microm HM520/HM525 Forums
Hi,
We have recently noticed ice building up on the knife holder and carrier to the point that sometimes you cannot adjust the angle of the carrier or the forward and lateral movement. We have also seen frozen ice droplets in the chamber. We defrosted the cryostat but the problem persists. We then watched the defrost cycle and noticed that the chamber gets very warm and a lot of condensation occurs on the window and inside the chamber. The display shows H - 42, which I believe indicates the temperature of the evaporator. Once the defrost cycle ends there is still a lot of condensation in the chamber and this appears to be reason we see freezing once the cryostat cools down. Any ideas on why this happens and how to fix it are appreciated. This started about a month ago and has never happened during the past 12 years that we have used the cryostat. Thanks..

RE: Microm - HM520/HM525Knife/blade holder block keeps icing up but the chamber, frozen section sample holder and cutting block do not ice up. The sample freezes appropriately. Why does the knife/blade block ice up? Solution?

RE: Microm - HM520/HM525Ice forms on the block that holds the cutting blade. The rest of the chamber and all equipment (incuding peg/chuck holder) remain ice free. Any ideas on why this happens and how to fix it are appreciated.

RE: Microm - HM520/HM525initial power up, compressor and cooling fan not turning on. no voltage to the motor in electrical terminal.
RE: Microm - HM520/HM525I have a HM520, that had a refrigerant leak. Had unit repaired and refilled, but now I am getting a E01. I don't have a good service manual, but what I have says it is a power failure. If anyone has a copy of the manual or can give me a hand. Let me know
Thanks
