  RGB Medical Devices was established in 1988 as a University spin-off. Amongst the different pioneering devices manufactured by the company is the Baricontrol. This device was designed for B.Braun Infusion pumps Manufacturer to be used in clinical operations and intensive care units. It is used for arterial blood pressure regulation with an automatic delivery of vasoactive drugs and became the first robotic device to provide automatic medical assistance, with comparable and stable performance as compared to trained medical personnel.    Since 1992, RGB has been involved in the development of pioneering medical equipment with a wide range of multi-parameter vital signs monitoring devices known as Omicrom, the first one was presented at Hannover's Interhospital'95 exhibition.    Over the last years RGB has been developing numerous new monitors to cover as many applications as possible. Currently RGB monitors are being used in over 75 countries around the globe.    From initial design and backed by clinical trials before launching, all of their products comply with the applicable standards for performance, reliability and durability.    RGB has pioneered e-Health projects as medical device manufacturer since 1995, coming up with the first CE marked multi-parameter remote monitor as a core component to home care in a telemedicine service.    RGB has gathered an ample expertise regarding telemedicine market and its exploitation; as consultant and technology provider they have assisted companies such us Tunstall (UK) and Telefónica (Spain).    Currently they provide telemedicine technology to several distribution companies around the world; they are developing innovative small non invasive measuring devices for home care.    The company has participated in various EU financed projects involving the implementation of new open standards for medical devices.    RGB has been closely involved in the EU CEN (European Committee for Standardization) TC251 for Medical Devices and interoperability, particularly in the elaboration of the ISO 11073 standard currently deployed.
