Baxter SIGMA Spectrum Forums

Hello all,

We have a Baxter / Sigma pump that is displaying the error code 221. Reviewing the SigmaSpectrum service manual the error code represents "User Task Starved" but doesnt give any additional information that I can find. Can anyone provide further guidance into repairing this in house? Or at least some information on what is going on here with this error.

I have tried the steps to clear the code with no luck.

On a side note, can anyone recommend a 3rd party repair service? We are currently sending our pumps to AVENTE but their turnout around is horrendous. They still have pumps we sent to them in September.

I have 6.05's and 6.02's and there does not seem to be any difference between them, yet customers are picky about it. Same with the 8.03's and 8.04's.

Is there a list of differences or updates between the two so I can inform customers?

Has anyone here ever faced this problem? where the Baxter pumps take too long to update the drug library or wont update at all? and if so, does anyone have a solution? Me and my team are currently facing this dilemma, any help/assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am wondering if anyone is running into this error regularly? We recently purchased a number of devices and about 2/3 of the units are giving us this error. The motor does not cycle when the door is open and closed. Upon attempting to load a set and close the door, you get a System Error 321 Link Switch Error (up). Cleaning the upper latch sensor does not seem to alleviate the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Can anyone enlighten me on this Error please? I don't know what is a Sharp and CRC - Is it the PCB(s) ? Something Mechanical failing? Repairable? Would appreciate it, Thanks

Due for inspection message keeps popping up when turning device on even though next PM due date is set for next year, is there a way to manually clear the message? It only pops up for a moment when the device is turning on when unplugged, it does not show up if plugged in or remain on the charging screen like it would if it was actually past the due date. It obviously does not prevent users from continuing to use the pump and is not worth the hassle of sending the pump out to a vendor for service, but sometimes when the users see the message they call it in for repair and I'm not sure what to try other than checking the PM due date.

Hi everyone, I have a bunch of sigma spectrum pumps that generate "check battery alarms" after I replace the battery as part of the annual PM. Has anyone come across this problem and/or know how to resolve it?

Does anyone have the full erase of all information on the pump including: drug libraries, logs, patient information, etc.? We have a large number of these that they want to trade in, but policy requires that they be completely cleared of information before they leave the facility. Due to the low trade in value of each one, having a service company do this is simply not cost effective compared to sending them to the equipment shredder. Please advise.
