Is there a source for the lamp, and instructions to change, other than buying a "lamp Module" for $800.

The Xenon Lamp Store is the cheapest I could find at $650 a lamp. Their website is www.xenonlampstore.com. That will save you a little money.

We've been hearing that some of these units have been built without the proprietary bulb that they are supposed to contain. It appears that Luxtec has made a running change for some reason. You should check the bulb first before ordering. If it has a red ring around the body of the bulb, it's the one that costs between $500-$700. But your unit may contain the "standard" 300w lamp that hundreds of other light sources utilize, and those are much cheaper.
