Among GE, CASMED, Welch Allyn and Suntech, which NIBP monitor do you think, gives accurate results?
Accuracy of NIBP monitors.

Well according to our BP simulator our GE Dinamaps and our Welch Allyn units are accurate.
I guess it depends if it needs to be recalibrated or has an internal fault?
You also have to factor in patient position, Hose position, & other outside variables.

I can only offer comments on GE, Welch Allyn, Phillip products; inspected with the Pronk sim4 all these units and there various models perform within manufacturer accuracy guidelines and they all will. This is a given as long as the operator follows user guidelines, that cuffs are not worn or leaking, and units are cared for as recommended by the manufacturer.
From experience most complaints of NIBP units accuracy issues result from improperly sized cuffs for the patient; cuffs have a mean rang marking inside for the tech to determine cuff sizing accuracy, this is commonly ignored and or I find many cuffs with the loop side of the Velcro to be so worn it looks like shag carpet (this causes the cuff to slowly release as it inflates hindering accurate readings and or unit fails to read at all).
recommended questions should be:
Which manufacturer and specific model is easily serviceable by in house or third party repair and support?
Is the unit only serviceable by manufacturer (serviceable by manufacturer only equates to unit being shipped to manufacturer repair facility and the loss of unit during repair, as opposed to a third party who at least, typically would have a loaner to offer till the repair is complete)?
Does an ISO in your area have the means to obtain replacement parts and or experience with a specific manufacturer; is there an ISO in your area or in house?
What are the manufacturers expected support time line (this means will repair parts be available after the warranty expires). This is a good question to ask the sales rep, how long will the manufacturer support this product.
This is just a small list of questions to ask and the former are focused around a service and repair persons frame of thinking.
As an end user there are many more to ask e.g. cost of unit fits budget, necessary capabilities of unit, are accessories available from current supplier..........
Hope this helps!

Thank you for the reply. I am a biomed and our facility has all these manufacturers I mentioned earlier. Firstly we bought 3 units of GE. We had 'Adult' cuff and 'Large Adult' cuff in the units. But some days, the nurses complaints that the Device is giving continuosly high values (error of upto 40 mm HG). In all the calls I check the calibration of the devices and are found to be ok. So I always advice them to check the cuff size, give enough time to the patient for relaxation, etc.
But what is surprising is that the same complaints were reported by various nursing stations, intermittently. Even after we bought CASMED, the same issue hovered. But Welch allyn monitor was having the least service calls. Now we also have Suntech (which also comes with a manual mode), is the most trouble free device in my point of view.
The issue of calibration is very minimal, since, in my tenure, while doing verification, I have never found a DUT off the calibration limits.
