Does your hospital use different types of probes? Several of the hospitals I've worked at have had different probes for different monitors. (Some used nelcor oximax sensors, others used non-oximax nelcor sensors. The plugs were the same but had different colors.) If double checking probe compatibility doesn't fix it, there might be an issue with the SpO2 board.

Look at the spO2 cable you are trying to use. There are two types of trunk cable connections (if you are using the GE rectangular 11-pin style): one will have one key, another has two. These are not interchangable.
