the unit will be in the range it is allow most of the time but will rise to 3+ points out of range every few seconds then back down to an allowed range.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Not any instant solutions, but you have an interesting question.
First, any technical inop messages? When was the last time the G5 was serviced? It's supposed to have a PM done every 2 years. Also, have you verified it at 21% and 100%? Here's a quick list of what to check:
Zero Calibration; Leak Check; Pump Test; Flow Rate Check; Pressure Sensor Test; Component Status Check; Gas Calibration Test.
Second, what is the range being set at? In other words, is the patient set at 60% and they drift down to 57 and back up to 60? Do the waves look okay or are they flattened (dampened) any? It might be a hole in the patient tubing, a leak in the patient circuit.
Last, on all patients on that machine, or just once?
