Occlusion Errors

Does anyone know the occlusion calibration values for a Baxter 6200 infusion pump? I feel like Baxter may have changed the values and they could be different from what is in the original service manual.

Hi Tony,

I checked with our biomeds here at Ardus and have included their response below to your question:

Without set, octal code (lower left of main display) = 5373 – 5503

With thickness gauge installed in lower occlusion sensor, octal code (lower right of main display) = 6246 - 6356

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Lindsay

Thanks for your response Lindsay, unfortunately those are the same values i have. I have seen a number of pumps where the downstream is consistanly just outside of that range. I was curious if anyone knew if Baxter maybe changed the values for some reason or another. I have also seen these pumps occlude for no reason when the sensors are in the range.

Tony,

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.  I asked our technicians if there could be any other reason why the device would be occluding when the sensors are in range and he said other than replacing the occlusion sensors and buttons or making sure it’s Baxter tubing being used he is not sure why they would be throwing the alarm.

Again, sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Lindsay
