Anybody have any experience with the Penlon SP2 or SP3 anesthesia machine? i would appreciate any feedback.
Penlon Anesthesia Experience

Is the machine easy to service?
Is there any specialized test equipment needed for service?
Is the Biomed training adequate?
How responsive is penlon in requests for tech support?
Is there any delay in recieving parts?
Any general overall information from experieince delaing with the company and the equipment would be appreciated.

Hello Cindy,
Some one I know commented on the Penlon Prima SP2/3:
"I have experience with Penlon machines and find them to be good units... The 1 year PM is a long and tedious process - you have to replace a lot of o-rings and parts (4 year is worse) but the machine seems to be like the energizer bunny because of this. They have had some issues with the APL valve sticking and I've had to swap out a ventilator along with one of the vent block assemblies. I'm taking care of 8 units now and other than the long PM, I like them. Tech support is very good."
They are sold by distributors since the vendor itself does not have a US base only a European base. HQ in UK.
I think the Prima SP2/3 are the mid Tier level Anesthesia Machines. They compete with Mindray-A5, Spacelabs-ARKON, GE Avance, Drager-Fabius etc.
Parts come from UK where the manufacturer is based.

Is tech support on UK time or availalbe 24 X 7?
How long does it take and how expensive is shipping for parts orders?
