Aaron 1250 ESU REM problem

Howdy,

Has anyone had an intermitent problem with this unit?

The doc says it checks out fine before the case starts, but sometimes the REM fails during the case.  My first question to the doc was; if the patient had the REM sites preped correctly, and if they tried a different REM.  He said yes to both of these questions.  I have had problems with the REM's on Valleylabs, but have not worked on the Aarons.

Thanks for your time,

JV

I'm not familiar with the Aaron unit, but I've seen issues like this in the past. The usual culprit was a bad batch of patient return pads, or the use of pads not designated for that machine. If the pads are rated for that ESU, going to a different lot number usually takes care of it. If the pads aren't rated for use in that particular ESU then the fix is obvious.

Thank you for the quick response, I passed it on. Yes, I'm proud of my Indian and Trike.
