administering mediacations

when using the baxter as40 siringe pump to infuse for example an antibiotic like clindamicin in small doses like .01ml-.13ml in 30 min is this equipment precise in delivering the desire volume or does some of it stay in the line?

According to the users manual, the smallest dose that the unit can handle is 0.03ml. With that being said, I have found that these pumps are quite accurate on their administration amounts when bench testing them. Like any other pump, as long as the administration set is primed with the solution that is to be administered, the amount left in the line is the same that was there when administration began.  If you look under the "Resources" tab at the product details page (link should be near the top of this page you are reading) you will find tech manuals and the user manual. This pump can also do U/hr, which may be what you need, if the drugs you are administering can be placed in a solution... Just a thought.
