Hand switch on tube/ Latch lock not fucntional

When pressing hand switch to release lock, the locking bar doesn't move or unlock. even when releasing hand switch the locker doesn't lock the tube. Generally the tube just moves/swings freely without being control by the locker. Please any possible advise to fix the issue. Thank you. Ivan

What equipment are you specifically referring to? Manufacturer/Model?

Which brake are you referring to. The is a tube park brake, horizontal arm, vertical column, and column rotation. But since you are referring to a locker bar not moving I am assuming its the tube park latch. There is a solenoid you should here clicking when the handswitch is activated. If you still hear it click and but it still doesn't release inspect the latch to make sure it moves freely. If that's ok it's probably a weak solenoid that will need replaced.

if you don't have any magnetic brakes working check fuse 1A3F3, could also be collimator handlebar switch is broken (very common issue you should here switch clicking on each side), could also be broken cable to collimator right where it enters the back of the collimator (again very common issue). all brakes activate together including the tube arm latch solenoid. single brake issues are rarer but do happen mostly due to broken wires inside cables. the tube arm latch solenoid will fail any time.
